Pinewood Derby Car Body Razor Wedge

Pinewood Derby Car Body Razor Wedge is a rough cut, unweighted body. We have done the major steps for you! You will still need some sort of weight to bring the car to proper weight. I tired to make a contoured airfoil design on the front and back portion of inner hole, was unable to do it in a a timely machining manner. Round every flat surface for the best possible air flow to decrease drag.

Made from an official BSA block, know this car is always compliant with national rules. The rules of local events sometimes differ from those of BSA box rules. Due to this, it is necessary to know your rules before choosing our unique modifications for your PWD car. Each pack’s rules will be different. Thin design be sure to handle with care. A lot of wood milled away to make it light weight. Since these bodies are rough cut they are less expensive. They are great projects for your scout. Take note, these bodies are not at weight. Please properly plan for this. Comes in around 13 grams so you will need about 115 grams of additional weight. Design is based on the 7 principles of having a fast pinewood derby car. This body covers the low profile, lightweight, aerodynamic design. Pinewood derby’s center of gravity is infinitely adjustable.
