Model A Fender Flare

Model A Fender Flare

Model A is BSA stock distance full wheel fender set front front to back.  4 sets of fenders.  Each Section contains a 1/8" and 1/4" section that must be glued together prior to use.  As such, be sure when gluing that you mirror the wheel fenders so that you have a left and right side.  Middle section needs very  little work, the front aero will need to be shaped to suit your liking.  As it is made of Balsa wood, this step literally takes less than 30 seconds by hand with 80 grit sandpaper, even less with an orbital sander.  If using orbital sander, I would simply just use 220 grit as anything less will probably be too aggressive.

Full Fender

Full Balsa fenders give the builder the choice on how they want to shape their fenders. Each fender will consist of 2 pieces that will need to be glued together incorporating a center rail spacer to eliminate fender rub. Make sure when gluing that you mirror the wheel fenders so that you have a left and right side.  2 spacers are provided that must be trimmed to size according to your wheel spacing.  This kit can be used for both BSA and Extended wheelbase cars.  Simply add the spacer piece inside the gap between the two fenders.  Sand to desired shape.  An extended wheelbase will have a front flare that extends past the length of the car.  Simply trim with razor or coping saw, sand to desired shape.

Skirt Fender

Skirt fenders Are full body fenders.  No frills so shape, Shape as you desire for effect. Each fender will consist of 2 pieces that will need to be glued together incorporating a center rail spacer to eliminate fender rub.  Make sure when gluing that you mirror the wheel fenders so that you have a left and right side. This skirt comes in 2 wheelbase lengths.  BSA distance of 4.375" and 5" for extended wheelbase.  Front fin is a general purpose fin and will need to be trimmed based on the shape of your car.  If it extends past your car's length, trim with razor or coping saw.

Front fenders only.  Build a fender kit.  6x -1/8" sections that can be glued together as desired for builders width of choice.  Each fender will consist of 2x full fenders and an additional 1x spacer.  Front aero fenders are smaller in length than the rear fender set.  Not shaped, ready for your customizing. Make sure when gluing that you mirror the wheel fenders so that you have a left and right side.

Rear Fenders only.  Build a Fender Kit.  6x -1/8" sections that can be glued together as desired for builders width of choice.  Each fender will consist of 2x full fenders and an additional 1x spacer. Back aero fenders are longer in length than the front fender set.  Not shaped, ready for your customizing. Make sure when gluing that you mirror the wheel fenders so that you have a left and right side.
