Pinewood Derby Weights – Flat Weight is a great way to bring your race car to proper weight if you are having problems drilling weight pockets  To achieve top speed, your pinewood derby car must weigh-in at the maximum allowable weight (generally 5 ounces).   Our Pinewood Derby Weights – Flat Weight is flexible, easily cut to size and has an aggressive adhesive backing that allows for easy attachment.

Place the flat weight on the very bottom to keep center of gravity low. But overall, this is a very convenient way to add weight as opposed to giant lead pieces or other setups.  It only takes a few seconds to install, and allows you to fine-tune the weight to get at the exact limit.

Flex weight is design to quickly add weight to irregular shaped bodies. The weights can be cut with household scissors and can be adjusted a time or two after initial application.

Simply add weight to the bottom of the car.  1/8″ thickness should be thin enough not to cause any dragging issues on metal tracks.  Since wood tracks all differ, please be sure to measure overall bottom clearance to ensure that you will not have any rubbing issues on race day.

Method of install is Stick on.  Simply trace, cut to size, peel, and stick.  This allows you to adjust the weight to get the perfect Center of Gravity.
