Derby Dust® tech’s utilize 7 Steps in making fast pinewood derby car kits. Our car kits include a pre-cut car body, weight, prepared wheels, polished axles, and lube. Just complete the car kit, install the wheels and axles, lube it, and race.

The Ghost is a variation of our light weight pinewood derby car body that utilizes a top canopy weight. Coming in around 15-17 grams, wood is precisely removed to eliminate overall wood weight while keeping a strut structure to keep strength.

Ghost Pinewood Derby Car Kit Extended Wide Wheel Base by Derby Dust® utilizes a canopy style weight. We slice a section of an official BSA block, plane it to .25″ thickness for minimal wood weight, drill it with the Goat Boy Drill station, then finally we cnc laser this profile to get you in the winner’s circle. Our fast kit includes a pre-cut pinewood derby car body, weight, prepared wheels, polished axles, and lube which comply to most pack’s rules. Wheel and axle upgrades available.

While every Pinewood Derby Car will have wheels and axles, do you know the tricks that will help you get maximum speed of the car? This extended wheelbase car is legal per “in the box rules.” Kits with axle slots are always fully BSA compliant with all pack rules. Especially relevant are your local pack rules. Please check these rules before purchasing a car body with drilled axle holes.
